Summary
Future Tech Today is an advertising-supported publication. We do not require an account to read articles, and we do not sell personal information. We collect anonymised traffic analytics, and our advertising partner serves ads that may be personalised using cookies. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time using the links in the Cookie Policy.
Who we are
Future Tech Today (“we”, “us”) operates the website at futuretechtoday.site. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights described below, contact us at contact@futuretechtoday.site. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Newsletter subscriptions. If you subscribe, we store the email address you provide and the date of subscription. We use it only to send the newsletter you asked for. Every email contains an unsubscribe link.
- Contact messages. If you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and the content of your message so that we can reply.
Information collected automatically
- Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which articles are read and how visitors navigate the site. This records pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring site. IP addresses are anonymised by Google before storage.
- Advertising data. Google AdSense and its partners may read and write cookies or similar identifiers to select and measure the ads shown to you.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and reliability. These are retained for a short period and are not used to build reader profiles.
Advertising and Google AdSense
This site is monetised through Google AdSense. The following disclosures are required by Google’s publisher policies:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we present a consent notice before non-essential cookies are set, and ads are served non-personalised unless you consent.
Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: consent for advertising and analytics cookies and for newsletter subscriptions; legitimate interests for security logging and preventing abuse; and legal obligation where we must retain records to comply with the law.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with:
- Google (Analytics and AdSense) — traffic measurement and advertising.
- Our hosting provider — to serve the site and retain security logs.
- Law enforcement — only where legally compelled, and only to the extent required.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Contact form messages are retained for 24 months. Server logs are retained for 30 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict its processing, withdraw consent at any time, and receive a portable copy. Under the CCPA, California residents may additionally request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and opt out of any “sale” of personal information — we do not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@futuretechtoday.site. We respond within 30 days. If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced on the homepage.
